L: Actual context of proposed tower at Montreal Rd. and Blair / Google Earth. R: Rendering: Roderick Lahey Architect Inc.

The 26-storey tower proposed for the corner of Montreal and Blair Road exceeds the 9-storey limit allowed by current zoning.  After detailed analysis of the application, neighbourhood consultation, and in keeping with our mandate the RHPOA will be opposing this proposed development.

Please help us ensure that development approvals for this location are compatible with adjacent residential communities, the low-rise campus of the National Research Council, and the future development of Montreal Road.

REIMBURSEMENT OF UNUSED FUNDS

Funds contributed to the RHPOA Tower Fund will be used solely for activities related to opposing the development. Upon completion of said activities, should funds remain unused, donors will be given a choice of receiving a refund - subject to a $25 minimum - of the pro-rated portion of their aggregate contributions or to donate the remaining funds to the RHPOA’s general activities. Donors will be notified of their reimbursement eligibility by email and/or mailing at the contact information they have provided us and have six months to arrange repayment, after which any unclaimed moneys will be transferred to the RHPOA’s funds as a general donation to the Association. There shall be no refunds to donors until the challenge of the proposed development has ended and the RHPOA Board has determined that all associated costs have been paid.
