NCC Community Open House / Feedback Survey: Sir George-Étienne Cartier Park Plan

Wednesday, February 15, 2023 - 14:00 to 18:30

The National Capital Commission (NCC) has been developing a Long-Term Vision and Plan for the Sir George-Étienne Cartier (SGEC) Park.

The Park's lands surround the SGEC along 13 km of the Ottawa River - a federally designated Canadian Heritage River. The Plan aims to guide conservation, enhancement and sustainable management of the riverside Park.

The NCC is now in its second round of public consultations on the SGEC Park Plan. If you have ideas or comments on what you value and/or would like to see (or not see) at the Blair Road Boat Launch and other areas along the pathway, please provide comments by 19 February in this NCC online survey.

You can also attend a Community Open House at the Richelieu Vanier Community Centre on 15 February between 2 and 6pm to learn more about the project, ask questions of the project team, and share your suggestions about the concepts and proposed activities for the Park.

The Community Centre is located at 300 Des Pères-Blancs Avenue on the south side of Beechwood Cemetery. OC Transpo Route 20 stops right in front of the building, and Routes 7 and 15 also travel through the neighbourhood. There is a free parking lot onsite.
